This course is the option for those looking to receive complete accreditation in order to start and operate an advanced and fully qualified drone business.
This course has specifically been designed for individuals looking to obtain their Remote Pilot’s Licence via 5 days of interactive and mentored classroom learning. Upon completion of this program, students will be licenced and fully prepared to conduct commercial operations with remotely piloted systems that have a take-off weight up to 25kg. Students enrolled in this course will also receive their ReOC which will allow them to start their own RPAS Business in combination with a Certificate III in Aviation.
Please note: If you are looking to start your own drone business, you will require a Remote Operator’s Certificate (ReOC). Your ReOC is included within this course.
This Remote Pilot’s licence program is broken down into three parts:
Upon enrolment, students will receive a comprehensive welcome pack containing all information relating to their 5-6 days course as well as access to Ace Aviation’s online student portal. During these 5 days, students will be mentored by Ace Aviation’s trainers as they work through several theoretical and practical components. These modules will provide students with a complete understanding of RPAS operations, procedures, terminology and applications.
Over the course duration, students will alternate between practical and theoretical study. Practical training and assessment will be held at the training fields, while theoretical study and exams will be held in class. Students will be fully guided and supported throughout the process.
The theoretical exam will be in a multi-choice format and all topics in the exam will have been covered beforehand by trainers and online study materials. The practical side of this course includes one day of field training, where students will learn how to manage their aircraft with the assistance of Ace trainers. During this time, students will be able to work with trainers through any difficulties they may be having in controlling/manoeuvring their drone. The practical assessment component of this course is not considered difficult. It is required by law to ensure that future pilots can operate their drone safely. With our trainers by your side throughout the entire course, you will be well prepared in all aspects of commercial drone operations.
This Platinum package includes our 25kg type training which upon completed will allow you to fly drones with a take-off weight up to 25kg, like the Matrices 600. Training and assessment for this heavy lift endorsement will be held on the final day of the course. Training structure will be similar to the RePL 7kg training described above consisting of mentored practice and then assessment. Training will be conducted on a M600.
Upon Completion of your RePL & Type Training. We will completely handle the ReOC process for you, all you need to do is provide us with identification information and we will work with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) on your behalf to develop and approve all necessary documentation. Simply sit back and relax while we get you your ReOC in just a few weeks!
Students will also be given access to the Certificate III in Aviation (AVI30316) course which they can complete in their own time online.
